Church FAQs
What time are your Masses?
See the schedule on our Church page for a detailed list of Mass times. Because Father Doyle pastors at both St. Vincent de Paul and Immaculate Conception in Augusta, our daily Mass times are shared between the two parishes. We hope you can join us!
Are you on social media?
Yes! Be sure to like us on Facebook and check out our YouTube page.
What is the typical member profile for parishioners?
Both St. Vincent de Paul and Immaculate Conception have a mix of families with a common thread – we love worshiping Christ together. Our faith community believes in leading by example, serving others, and being good stewards of all that God has provided. We welcome families of all ages and stages in their lives and work to spread the gospel in all we do.
Who is St. Vincent de Paul?
St. Vincent, our patron saint, was a French Roman Catholic priest who was dedicated to serving the poor. Renowned for his compassion, humility, and generosity, St. Vincent de Paul died in 1660 and was canonized in 1727.
School FAQs
Can I have a tour of the school?
Absolutely! Please contact the school office at 636-433-2466 to schedule a tour. You can meet the principal and grade level teacher for your child, if requested.
When is enrollment?
Enrollment opens at the beginning of February, with an open house the first Sunday of the month. There is no cutoff date for enrollment unless the maximum class size for the grade level is reached. Email us at svschool@centurytel.net or call the office, 636-433-2466, to request an enrollment packet.
What is the typical school family like?
We’re growing and diverse, but many of our families have 1-2 children and strong family ties. Many current students have parents, grandparents, or other family members who attended school here. Parents tend to be involved in the church, school, and community.
How is tuition paid?
Tuition is paid on a 12 month basis, with separate checks for K-8 tuition, pre-kindergarten, FAST, and lunch. For your convenience, you can set up automatic monthly withdrawals from your bank account using FastDirect.
Do you wear uniforms?
Our students wear the traditional parochial uniforms of light blue collared polo shirts and navy blue pants, shorts, or skorts.
What programs do you offer?
We have a preschool program for children ages 3 to 5, and an elementary school that serves students through eighth grade.
What curriculum do you use?
We use the Unified Curriculum from the Archdiocese of St. Louis. More information about the curriculum at St. Vincent de Paul School can be found here.
Do you rent your facilities?
We do allow facility rentals for bridal showers, baby showers, and other celebrations. Please contact the Parish Office, (636) 433-2678, for more information about our facilities, sizing, and pricing.
Where can I find out more about funeral processions and the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery?
Please contact the Parish Office for more information (636) 433-2678.
My partner and I are engaged. What do we need to do to be married at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church?
Congratulations on your engagement! Choosing to begin a new life together as husband and wife is a big commitment. To help you prepare, we’ve created a booklet to help you plan and prepare for your special day and your new life together. Our parish staff looks forward to helping you and can answer any questions you have along the way.
We want to get our baby baptized. What are the steps?
Congratulations on the birth of your baby! We know this can be an exhausting time, but we encourage you to baptize your baby as soon as possible after birth. First-time parents and parents who have never taken a Baptism preparation class need to contact the Parish Office (636) 433-2678 to arrange for a class. Parents are encouraged to complete this preparation before the birth of their child, if possible. Baptisms can be celebrated on any day; however, it is recommended that it be celebrated on a Sunday. All baptism dates need to be approved by Fr. Doyle to avoid conflict.
